Our Methodology

Alzheimer's disease and related dementias (AD/ADRD) are irreversible, degenerative neurological disorders that progressively impair brain function, especially memory, cognition, and behavior. As the global population ages, innovative care solutions are increasingly vital—especially those enhancing safety while reducing caregiver burden.

This study introduces a mobile health (mHealth) system featuring the SafeCircle iOS prototype, an AI-powered platform combining artificial intelligence and micro-radar technology to support dementia care.

Key features of SafeCircle include:

SafeCircle serves as a responsive virtual care assistant that enhances patient safety while easing the caregiver’s role. Micro-radar sensors improve movement detection accuracy, while AI algorithms recognize behavioral patterns and anomalies.

This dual-technology approach is scalable for both home-based and assisted-living environments. Overall, SafeCircle represents a forward-thinking, digital health solution bridging the gap between compassionate human care and intelligent automation.
